SEO - Changing OpenX Directory Folder Names to Custom Names.

Is it okay to change the default folder names in the OpenX scripts to something else.

I noticed while installing OpenX 2.8.7 in the configuration step that it gives you an "Advanced Configuration Option" that opens up to display multiple paths such as; Web, Delivery, Images, Delivery SSL, and Images SSL. Currently it shows "domain.com/www/admin" for the web path.

I want to change the www folder to something like "ad-server". When I change all the www folder names to ad-server including the ones on the server and try to continue start getting errors cause the scripts are still leading it down the /www/ folder. I didn't go too much further cause I quickly got the sense that I would be chasing around errors.

My question is are you aware if there is an easy way to do this and the same with RevMax. Will that run on the new directory without too much trouble?

Kind Regards,

No problem, rename it whatever you want, however there are scripts out there looking for things named openx and adserver so I perhaps would change it to something weird like xtc. You can then rename your delivery files also as you pointed out.

These changes need to be made before you start placing banner code in pages.

RevMax only deals with enrolement and payment. It never interacts with OpenX untill after a completed payment or you aprove a publisher. It will accept any path you create in the delivery or the re-naming of OpenX folder.
